Middle Of The Night Ordeal
The fire alarm goes off. It was a really loud piercing sound. One that makes you want to blow your head off.
Sidney: {Screams from his room} Dad??? “The fire alarm went off”
Oh geez! Thanks. As if we are his deaf parents asleep in the other room
Greg: “Yes, Sidney. I heard it. It’s OK. Go back to bed.”
Sidney: “Dad, are you sure the house is not on fire?”
Greg: “I’m pretty sure. Please go back to bed.”
Zurhi: {Screaming out of her lungs the entire time}
Me: Thinking to myself..hmm..I think Zurhi’s scream & loud cry set the alarm off. I wonder if it will break all the glass too.
{Sidney walks into the living room. Never seen him so scared. Grabs his cell phone}
Me: Sidney, what are you doing? You should go back to bed
Sidney: “Mom, I need to get my cell phone. To call 911 just in case.” Lol
Needless to say, I’m on my third cup of tea. Sleepless night for all…

@ Debbie- You are too funny. The battery was actually running out, sure, I’d like to let Sidney believe he saved the day, and Zurhi did not stop with the crying for at least an hour.
