Indigenous Woman Breastfeeds A Monkey

Came across this picture on the amazon tribes website, and it sent shivers down my spine. This is yet again, another selfless act. Here is this indigenous woman nursing a monkey whose mother has died, thereby adopting the monkey as her own child. Not a motherless or dying child, folks, but a monkey! I’m a sucker for people who devote themselves to others. Do-gooders rule!!!!!!

How many of us will do this? Raise your hand….

7. Most of you are speaking against this woman’s act. You can all negatively speculate as much as you like but I find this image very interesting. Is this a selfless act? Maybe it is. She also may not be able to have children and finds to this be a suitable replacement. Perhaps she is just a very kind and loving person that promotes the well being of all life. Whatever the case, this image just goes to show that humans are capable of doing strange and interesting things.

12. I think this is amazing, I wanted to do this in art then all of a sudden, i stumbled across this picture! You do need to get pregnant to breast feed so obviously she’s been pregnant recenty. However I’m sure there have been cases where if you’re in such a deep state of mind where you think you’re pregnant your body produces hormones which can cause the body to act like it is pregnant! Wow love this picture its so surreal, but believable at the same time, I do NOT think this woman is crackers, I LOVE MONKEYS!

    i don’t think its her, the angle at which this picture has been taken is a disadvantage as you cannot tell its her.. looks like someone of an asian background..
